Sew-made: My prototype Bridget backpack

Assalammualaikum. Hi! My name is Liza. I am a  self-taught seamstress. I sew mainly bags and have been sewing for more than 7 years. You can visit me at Facebook Page Naydee

Today, I would love to share with you a design that I've made for Dec 2015 collection.

This is Bridget Backpack.
A simple design with a fun zip pocket on the front.
The design is inspired by a bag I bought in Thailand 8 years ago. It was a cheap bag but I really love the design very much.

This prototype version was made with green denim and a mix of cotton fabric.
I add a layer of cord piping (which was a hassle to construct haha) but it added a structure to the bag.
I also use metal zip for the front pocket, the main compartment and the interior zip pocket.

There is also a little handheld on top of the bag, so it is really convenient to hold your bag while searching for your stuff inside the bag.

The interior body is fully quilted and has a slip pocket to secure your tablet in place.
My design is usually is made for order. If you are interested in the design with different fabric, you can drop an e-mail to sketch(dot)and sew(at)Gmail(dot)com

Thank you.
